TBBT Mission Statement

 TBBT.org At Tampa Bay Basic Training Medical Skills, our mission is to provide an excellent learning system that will produce medical professionals, to provide a introduction of caring for patients throughout their life span and adapting physical care to the home setting. Our mission is not to prepare you for a career in the healthcare field not “just to find another job”. Our mission is to instill in our students a sense of competent patient skills, self-confidence and self-reliance, patience and integrity both in the student’s professional life and personal life. We will challenge our students to develop deeper interpersonal skills with emphasis on being a team player and to demonstrate sound moral values and personal ethics, again both in their professional and personal life. T.B.B. T. To help students to become self-sufficient by establishing a mentoring relationship that provides support and assistance through training and preparing them to be employment ready.

 

Ramona Y. Burrowes is a graduate of Tampa Bay Bible College with earned degrees in Bachelor of Arts in Christian Counseling and Physical Therapy and a Masters in Christian Education. She has over 30 years of medical experience. She is an ordained minister of the Gospel Ministry. TBBTTLC was established in 2003 by Ms Ramona Y. Burrowes. It is first and foremost a faith-based, non-profit organization and an International Training Center with a student composition including, Africans, West Indians, and Americans. Education is our main tool and through faith and prayer many lives are transformed. You can also think of us as a “one-stop career services center”.

My vision is to train and educate residence of Florida become independent small business entrepreneurs. Our programs are short term and accelerated, emphasizing life skills, addressing low self-esteem issues by empowering students to become State read for Certified Nursing Assistant careers, economical stability by acting as referral source to potential employers upon completing any one of our programs, educational advancement through open enrollment that allows potential students to access our courses and continue their education year round. I see this faith-based organization, as one that also mentors individuals back into society and the workforce, through our various classes. Thus, decreasing the likehood that a person will return to a life of drugs and crime or other socio-economical life choices that can limit a person’s advancement through life.
