PROGRAM OBJECTIVE: This course is designed to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge essential in providing direct and supportive care as a home health aide. This course will acquaint students with the philosophy of home health care and the role of the home health aide. This course meets OBRA requirements for training the home health aide. This course is a two-six weeks course and at the end of the course the student will be given a certificate of completion.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This course introduces concepts of basic human needs and the role of the nursing assistant in long-term care and/or home health care. Basic nursing skills will be demonstrated and practiced in the laboratory setting.
The CNA course is based on a ten week time schedule i.e. 8 weeks of in class work and 2 weeks for break. Homework assignments are due at the beginning of class.
- Credit Hours For HHA 1 hr class time is equivalent to 3 credit hours
- 5 hrs class time is equivalent to 15 credit hours
- 5 hrs class or 15 credit hours is equivalent to 1 week of TBBT HHA training
- 8 weeks of TBBT HHA training equals 120 credit hours
HHA/CNA $500.00 Down payment $250.00 plus four payments of $62.50 for remaining balance of $250.00. HHA
4 classes: Tuesdays & Thursdays 6-9 p.m. $385.00 Half of this payment is due at the beginning of the program and the rest can be divided into payments.
