Tampa Bay Basic Training Classes

Classes and Programs overview

Programs vary in length of time and can be a minimum of 2 weeks or maximum of 10 weeks, again depending on the program(s) that the student is enrolled in. For example 5 classroom hours will be the equivalent of three credit hours, and 40 classroom hours will be the equivalent to 120 credit hours (which is needed to successfully complete a Home Health Aide). Programs, Tuition’s and Curriculum will be discussed in greater details in another section of this student’s handbook.

ENTRANCE / ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Admission is open to any qualified applicant. No qualified person will be excluded from enrollment at Tampa Bay Basic Training based on age, race, gender, disability or national origin. Class start times vary depending upon language of instruction. Applicants must be 17 years of age or older. If under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must enroll the applicant.

  • The applicant should present evidence of high school diploma, high school certification, or GED.
  • Students, who do not have a high school diploma, high school certification or GED and are 17 years of age or older must demonstrate the ability to learn from the program of instruction.
  • For students who are 17 years of age a parent or legal guardian must also sign the Enrollment Agreement. must also sign the Enrollment agreement.
  • Applicants receive a catalog prior to signing an enrollment.
  • All accepted students must complete an Enrollment Agreement.
